500g beef mince
250g ground pork
120g tomato sauce
50g chopped celery
50g diced yellow onion
50g diced carrots
250g white wine (optional)
1 Tbsp Casinetto Extra Virgin olive oil
3 L water
40g whole milk
salt and pepper to taste
Put oil into a heated saucepan. Add celery, onion and carrot and fry on low heat for about ten minutes until soft.
Add the beef and pork and stir until browned for about 10 minutes.
Add the wine (optional) and cook until evaporated.
Add tomato sauce and 1 L of the water.
Add some salt and pepper.
Cook on medium heat for 1 hour.
Add 1 L of water and cook for another hour.
Add the last 1 L of water and continue to cook until thick.
When cooking is complete stir in the milk and serve on top of your favourite pasta.
