Moliterno is a hard or semi-hard sheep’s milk cheese, whose taste is exalted by the gustative notes of the truffle. The paste is white with a marble-like pattern created by the truffles. The rind has the typical signs of the reed baskets in which they are moulded, however, it is not edible.
Produced on the island of Sardinia off the coast of Italy, it is an unforgettably dense and fudgy pecorino with veins of black truffle.
With a flavour that is rich and salty with a strong bite, the infusion of truffles gives it that extra bit of unique flavor with every bite.
Moliterno with Truffle and honey makes for one of the most harmonious combinations in the world of cheese-pairing
