The rounds are made of 70% hemp and 30% cotton with an unbleached cotton thread used to serve the layers together. Hemp is a much cleaner crop than cotton requiring no pesticides and far less water than cotton. It also captures much greater quantities of carbon than cotton so is great for the environment. It is naturally antimicrobial and more durable than cotton. They may be washed with your usual load. They should be washed in the bag to prevent loss in the machine. Some shrinkage may occur after the first wash, however, this will be minimal when washed at 30 degrees. If using them for removing heavy makeup they should be rinsed using soap and water immediately after each use to prevent staining buildup. Absorbency increases with each wash and tumble drying help retain softness. They should be washed before first use. These super soft brushed rounds measure 3.2 inches/ 8cm and are perfect for removing makeup or applying toner. They come with a drawstring organic cotton wash bag to prevent them from going missing in the wash.
