Moliterno is a hard or semi-hard sheep’s milk cheese, whose taste is exalted by the gustative notes of the truffle. The paste is white with a marble-like pattern created by the truffles. The rind has the typical signs of the reed baskets in which they are moulded, however, it is not edible.
- Produced on the island of Sardinia off the coast of Italy, it is an unforgettably dense and fudgy pecorino with veins of black truffle.
- With a flavour that is rich and salty with a strong bite, the infusion of truffles gives it that extra bit of unique flavour with every bite.
- Moliterno with Truffle and honey makes for one of the most harmonious combinations in the world of cheese-pairing
Sheep's milk, black summer truffle (Tuber aestivum vitt.) min 5%, extra virgin olive oil, salt, rennet.
