The fantastic Paleta 100% Iberico sliced cut with a machine from the front extremity of the Iberian breed of pigs selected from birth. They spend the first stage of their life on the farm, feeding on natural cereals until they reach a weight between 40kg to 50kg. Then they enter the dehesas, where they enjoy an exquisite diet made up of this selection of cereals as well as grasses, tubers, roots and acorns, till they weigh around 170kg to 180kg. The minimum curing period of the meat is 24 to 36 months - depending on weight.
- Inside, the meat has different shades - from intense red in the most cured part to bright cherry red and shiny ivory-coloured fat.
- This fine meat contains a high percentage of oleic acid that helps maintain an adequate level of cholesterol in the blood, as well as being rich in proteins, vitamin B1, iron, zinc, magnesium, folic acid and vitamin E (excellent antioxidant)
