Seriola dumerili, known by the common name of amberjack, is a marine fish belonging to the Carangidae family. It is found in the Mediterranean Sea and the Pacific Ocean from 10 to 360 meters deep, most often between 20 and 70 meters. It is the largest fish of the Carangidae family, being able to reach 2 meters in length and 70-100 kg in weight. It is a pelagic fish characterized by a silvery blue colour, with a longitudinal line of a shade of gold.
