Alce Nero, the Italian organic cooperative, makes this pear and yoghurt puree in Italy from organic pears grown in Italian orchards and whole yoghurt from Alto Adige. Pear puree makes up 46% of the recipe and whole white yoghurt, made from pasteurised whole milk with live cultures, 22%, with water, a little rice starch and ascorbic acid. The result is a pale, creamy puree with the sweetness of pear and the soft tang of yoghurt. Each 80g portion is a single serving to eat from the spoon as a snack or a light dessert. Supplied as a twin pack of two 80g glass jars, stored at ambient temperature; refrigerate once opened and use within 24 hours.
