Ingredients

For the Burgers:

  • 2 beef burger patties (preferably with black truffle seasoning)
  • 2 potato buns
  • 2 slices Emmental cheese
  • 2 baby gem lettuce hearts, halved
  • 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For the Smoked Paprika Chips:

  • 2 medium potatoes, cut into chips
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

Step 1 – Prep the Chips Preheat your oven to 200°C. Toss the potato chips with olive oil, smoked paprika, and salt. Spread on a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes or until golden and crisp.

Step 2 – Cook the Burgers Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 3–4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.

Step 3 – Melt the Cheese Place a slice of Emmental cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover loosely with foil or a lid to help it melt.

Step 4 – Char the Lettuce Lightly oil the baby gem halves and char them in a hot pan for 1–2 minutes on each side until just wilted and slightly smoky.

Step 5 – Toast the Buns Slice and toast the potato buns face-down in a dry pan for 1–2 minutes until golden.

Step 6 – Build & Serve Spread BBQ sauce on the bottom bun, layer with charred baby gem, the cheesy burger patty, and top bun. Serve with hot paprika chips on the side.

Buon Appetito!
