Bonomelli

In 1908, Luigi Amedeo Bonomelli established a herbal pharmacy in Milan, specializing in liqueurs and syrups. His passion and creativity led to the introduction of products like bitter and vermouth in the 1920s and the famous Bonomelli Chamomile tea in 1926.

Driven by a quest for the best raw materials, Bonomelli set up a plant near Foggia in 1939, specializing in chamomile. He forged exclusive contracts with local farmers and enhanced R&D efforts, creating an exemplary production chain that valued the region's natural characteristics.

During World War II, the company's Milan headquarters were destroyed, prompting a move to Dolzago. This relocation spurred product innovation, with launches like Camomilla Espresso in 1950 and Filtrofiore in the 1970s. By the 1990s, Bonomelli expanded into herbal tea lines, and in 2016/17, introduced chamomile and herbal teas in capsule formats, continuing its legacy of excellence.
