Canuti is a name synonymous with passion and quality in the pasta industry. It all began in 1950 when founder Mario Canuti opened the first fresh pasta laboratory in Rimini, a region in Emilia-Romagna known for its culinary excellence. What started as a small laboratory has now grown into a modern factory with deep-freezing technology, allowing Canuti to export their pasta from Italy to the world.
Over the years, Canuti's commitment to quality has been rewarded with international industry certifications such as IFS, BRC, and Organic certifications. They continue to rely on their pasta-making know-how to satisfy specific requests from different markets.
Canuti has come a long way since 1950, opening three new points of sale in Rimini in the 1960s and expanding its direct distribution to restaurants, hotels, and HVRs in the 1970s. In the 1980s, they became one of the first producers of frozen fresh pasta in Italy, paving the way for future innovation.
In 1996, Canuti opened a new processing plant, further expanding its production capabilities. They began exporting frozen pasta to EU countries in 2000, cementing their place as a global leader in the industry. Canuti's history of passion and quality culminated in its acquisition by the Toffano group in 2015, which allowed for the renovation of its processing machinery and expansion into extra-EU markets in food service and retail.
Canuti's commitment to quality and tradition is reflected in their three product lines, "le Classiche", "le Delizie", and "le Biospeciali," each representing a different aspect of their pasta-making expertise. Today, Canuti remains a company with a rich history and a bright future, continuing to satisfy the tastes and dietary needs of its customers all over the world.
