Founded in 1921 by Omer Romanzini in La Rivière Drugeon, the cannery is a testament to generations of snail preparation tradition. Located in Haut Doubs, the company evolved from a traditional home-based cannery to a pioneering force, introducing frozen prepared snails in the 1970s and chilled snails in the 1990s. The modernized, IFS-certified factory processes 45 million snails annually, primarily "wild" snails from natural environments in Central Europe.
With a subsidiary in the Czech Republic overseeing raw materials, the company embraces innovation, regularly developing new products to cater to changing consumption patterns. Quality, from field to plate, is paramount, with a commitment to providing consumers with consistently high-quality snail products throughout the year.
