2 servings

Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

  • 2 beef burger patties (preferably with black truffle seasoning)
  • 2 potato buns
  • 2 slices Emmental cheese
  • 2 baby gem lettuce hearts, halved
  • 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 2 medium potatoes, cut into chips
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 200°C. Toss the potato chips with olive oil, smoked paprika, and salt. Spread on a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes or until golden and crisp.

Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 3–4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.

Place a slice of Emmental cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover loosely with foil or a lid to help it melt.

Lightly oil the baby gem halves and char them in a hot pan for 1–2 minutes on each side until just wilted and slightly smoky.

Slice and toast the potato buns face-down in a dry pan for 1–2 minutes until golden.

Spread BBQ sauce on the bottom bun, layer with charred baby gem, the cheesy burger patty, and top bun. Serve with hot paprika chips on the side.
